Let's get started
My biggest passion in life is travelling and therefore I visit a lot of different places. Whenever there is some time I try to catch a plane, bus, train, car... When money is scarce I travel shorter distances which I enjoy, but the most exciting are the adventurous trips to places far away from home.
The idea to start writing a blog came to my mind for two different reasons. The more personal one is that friends and family asked me to update them more frequently. This way you know where I am and what I do. Writing to everyone individually takes time and can be very repetitive. The other reason is that many people ask me for my personal opinion on some place I visited and they consider going to. This way you get an impression of my perception of the places I visited.
This blog is not aiming at giving a proper description of places. I leave this part to travel guides. What I want is to convey a feeling. I believe in the saying "A picture is worth a thousand words". I have to admit that sometimes I simply don't find the right words to describe things, but I want to write this blog in English to give all my friends the possibility to read it.
